I have no doubt that they've all done their homework before taking that
trip.  We've got a good bunch.

I think the biggest handicap that Steve has with Finally is the perfect
contrast to the people putting on this race. Steve bred that horse
himself from his own stock from his own breeding program several
generations back. He's brought him along slowly himself and has now
placed well at several *big* events. You just don't take a horse like
that out and take big risks like you can if you have no major emotional
ties or long term commitment tied up in that particular horse.  I'll
wager that Finally will do well, won't be first to finish, won't be over
ridden, and will return to do well ride after ride long after the
"winner" is forgotten in some back barn.
