I know Lari Shea used to have Dr. Ridgeway give a
short clinic on Fridays before her Mendo 50 ride (which had an LD) and was
geared for the LD and new riders, and he was also available for questions
afterward.
I think that it may be a good idea to educate ourselves at the place that
we meet...the rides. If at all possible could we schedule a time during, or
after, the rides that an informational speaker could come in and discuss
different topics. I always enjoy learning more about horses and how to keep
them in the best health and I know a lot of others are the same. I know that
this would probably add to the cost of things, which is hard on everyone, but
it is just an idea.
