It's not like this isn't good advice.  I'm for emotional as well as physical
health.  However, if you're aiming for multidays or rides far away, you
might consider that you either need to haul the pony with you....could sure
be done, or have 3 horses so someone can stay home and keep the little guy
feeling safe and happy.
