[RC] Sharing food at vet checks - Wendy Mancini

Helpful to know that mine isn't the only picky one.  Eats like a pig at home,  gets to a ride & turns up his nose.  Tried the different feed thing at each ride, still liked the other guy's stuff better.  Only thing that was consistent, he would eat fresh corn on the cob, people corn, but the husk, cob and all.  4 ears at each vet check - seemed like a "complete feed."  I still put out the pan of food, just in case, & it's there for all who want it.  Who knows what it will be this season.
On the subject of horses that haven't learned endurance etiquette, how many out there have horses that think the vet check trot out is a waste of time & energy?  As soon as the hold is over & you are on they are off & trotting & no matter how much you trot out at home they seem to know that the hold is for rest.
