Is it OK to feed a pelleted feed dry? Pro or Cons? The pelleted feeds that tend to be damp and tacky (Equine Senior as an example) are not as risky as the dry ones, but I'm with Susan--soak them if at all possible, and DEFINITELY soak them at rides. It isn't as odious as it seems to soak them--our geriatric diet (beet pulp, alfalfa pellets, and Equine Senior) is ready to eat about 10 minutes after one adds water.
