[RC] Pelleted Feeds - Roger RittenhouseMy experience with DRY pelleted feed. COLIC. Repeated 3 times I ALWAYS soak all pellets to a mush slop but not a watery soup. Since I now feed loads of BP - my feed rations are always wet. I think way back - and maybe with some no-name pellets, the binders caused problems and were not be suitable. However I do believe most all prime feed makers use suitable binders and mostly just do it with heat instead of a 'glue' Susan will shed light on this. Pellets had or have a bad rep.. I still prefer not to feed them. But with no choice, I will soak until dissolved. I doubt I would feed them dry.. I would defer to just oats. -- Roger mailto:roger@xxxxxxxxxxx =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
