Re: [RC] [RC] odd gaited horse - Laurie DurginIt is in a book, I looked thru recently on horse gaits or something and they showed you the placement of the horse feet and in what order they hit the ground on a whold buch of different types of gaits. I know the gaited horses around here are easy to tell , if your are riding one, you "shimmie" side to side rather than bounce up like a trot.Their legs also seem to look base narrow, very close together. I know some pasos, some racking horses, some tw, some saddle breds, etc. Saddlebreds almost seem to cross their front feet in front of each other , I keep thinking they are going to trip.Racking and pasos, have a lot of high action in their walks(semi walks, whatever, they all have different names)Racking ,TW , Foxtrotters all have a lot of "headbobbing" too. Some actually trot with one set of legs and walk with the other.(I cannnot be held legally responsible for my knowledge I am not a "gaited" person, just observing). :} Laurie and Rascal From: Maryanne Stroud Gabbani <msgabbani@xxxxxxx> _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your e-mail with MSN 8.
