Re: [RC] speaking of twh/mft - heidiOnly wanted to say that you don't necessarly get a more laid-back disposition by crossing a Walker with Arab! Mine was the most strong-willed, nasty ALPHA mare, hot, and difficult. I do remember some comments by a fellow who competed on TWH, and told me they "can" sometimes be very bullheaded....(does that ring a bell for anyone?). Cross bullheaded breed with a breed than can run all day, and you can get....the horse I had! My Arab/TWH was a much hotter horse than my daughters Arab Likewise, I've seen no advantage to Walkers over Arabs in the disposition department. On the whole, I've seen more difficult Walkers percentage-wise than Arabs! That said, I've also seen some really mellow, cooperative Walkers. Just like anything else--it pays to stick to family lines noted for producing good dispositions, and go with the individual!
