Just in case you missed it, here are two exerpts: snip< I explained that the first stage the author describes, ?LSD?, stands for ?Long Slow Distance?. This is something the author claims he does with his horse for the first year or two. In the author?s own program however, ?LSD? probably stands for ?Let?s Skip Doing.? In most cases he gives the five year old horse LSD credit for walking from the feed bucket to the water trough since birth and happily skips to stage two. Should you be so rude as to ask the author if he actually follows his schedule, he will assure you that though the schedule is appropriate for 99 horses out of 100, his horse is different, an extraordinary individual on whom all that effort is unnecessary. The truth is that most ?experts? consider all training to be cumulative. If they make it to a certain level with one horse, they are then allowed to immediately pick up at that level on their next project.
