[RC] Season's Greetings from the "not so snowy" Midwest. - June Scheunemann & Mike BernsdorfYep, this will be our second Holiday season without snow. As a matter of fact it is said to reach 50 by Sunday. YEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAA !!!! Time to ride. Just had to wish all a healthy, happy and peaceful Holiday Season. There were alot of happenings this year...horse and non horse related....I've come to realize that friends are the best. They see you through the rough times and happy times....may I return all the help and support I received this year. My hip healed nicely and I even managed to get 2 rides in before our season ended. I feel so lucky to be part of an equine group that values life...human and equine. That cherishes what we have .....the trees, sky, and grasslands. Unfortunately not all share our love....the neighbor just stopped over....she found her horse with an arrow in his shoulder. the horse will be fine but, this gal was lost. She isn't sure if it was an accident by someone or was it someone with a grudge toward her (she is the humane officer in our county). She lost her husband quit unexpectedly this summer (47 yr young and had a massive heart attack). I know she finds support in her animal friends....I hope she knows that we are here for her too.....it is hard as she stays to herself. May we remember those that are alone now and all times of the year. I can't wait till next ride season starts here in the Midwest!!!! I so look forward to weekends surrounded by friends and horses!!!
