[RC] California SF Bay Area Rider Seeks Horse and Mentor - Tina RushingI have a friend, a classically trained horseman in multiple disciplines, who has developed an interest in distance riding. I can vouch for his exceptional ability with horses and his trustworthy nature. He is an intellectual with many interests, never boring. I took the liberty of suggesting that with his riding skills he might find a distance rider who has more horses than they can condition. He accepted my offer to post to this list. C'mon, I'm not that far off, am I? Are you a distance rider of similar background in the SF Bay Area with an extra horse? What you get: a great riding buddy who is an excellent horseman, conditioning miles on your horse under your control and guidance, competitive miles on your horse under your control and guidance. What he gets: an opportunity to learn the ropes from an experienced distance rider; he would like to train with the goal of completing a 50-mile ride this summer or fall. What I get: if he becomes hooked I will have a new distance riding buddy :-) my motives are selfish. Interested persons reply to tina@xxxxxxxxxxxxx I will forward your message. Tell a little about yourself, your horse(s), location, expectations. The two of you can determine if this is likely to work out, and consider a test ride.
