RE: [RC] [RC] Leatherwood's "Ride the Mountain" Classic - Howard BramhallI love the idea of having two Leatherwood rides per year. I love Leatherwood. It is the most challenging area for endurance in the country, per mile. A 75 there would be a 100 anyplace else.Endurance riders accept challenges like this. I do believe the numbers will be there for that distance. Maybe, not the first year you do it, but, you never know. Endurance riders and their horses are the bravest lot I know. I'm there (in the 50 or even the 25). I love that area and those mountains that warm you up to the Blue Ridge and Appalachians. There's a trail at Leatherwood called the Daniel Boone trail. Every endurance rider needs to travel on this path; it leads you back to where America all began. I plan on spending my last remaining years somewhere near Leatherwood or in the Smokey's. There are places there where you can literally take you back in time. And, on a horse, you'll find out this area is one of the most beautiful in the world. Play some bluegrass music at your campsite while you're there. For me, nothing is better than being in this part of our country that we all love so much. cya, Howard From: RBluebirdpr@xxxxxxx To: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [RC] Leatherwood's "Ride the Mountain" Classic Date: Thu, 18 Dec 2003 09:38:35 EST _________________________________________________________________ Check your PC for viruses with the FREE McAfee online computer scan. http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
