Re: [RC] Who REALLY knows ? - Tina HicksCatfish, those are some pretty big discrepancies. You don't say where you are riding but if it's under lots of trees or in/out of mountains/valleys I'd be inclined to think, based on personal experience, that some (maybe all?) of that difference is from the GPS losing satellites and not capturing all the distance travelled. Anyway, the study I did was simple. I went to all my riding buddies and rode with them. For as long as I knew them, they all talked about how far they rode (Some are trail riders, others participate in endurance rides). When I actually rode with them, would you believe that some of them were off by as much as 15 miles per training ride? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
