It does sound like a very good, grass roots avenue for learning. It's just the type of 1x1 level education which is best in this kind of very personalized environment. It would be nice to have the education/sanctioning group (AERC in this case) be the one that finance such an effort (rather than the individual ride managers). Education of new members is a goal for all and support of that goal where the rubber-meets-the-road is the best way to get there.
