So...the saddle helped you keep your seat? ?;] What saddle pad are you using?

I use a thin wool navajo blanket and a skito pad.  But what really keeps me in are thor 3.5" inch Pommel and 4' cantle!  The suede seat helps too.  The saddle does not seem to shift around his barrel, but I do have to use a breast collar and I need to have a crupper.  We have some pretty good hills around here.

*It does definatly help to  have one with a deeper seat (higher pommel and cantle).  Mine is a training and schooling model with stirurps and rigging set in endurance position.  It is suede, but the whole thing is covered with fleece anyway.  To go from my personal saddle with a fairly snug fit in the seat, up even one inch larger, to my daughters endurance model, with endurance pommel and short cantle, well if it was the smooth leather I would feel ike I was riding on a launch pad!

A funny thing about the Sport saddles.  We have a group of ladies in the town, at least 15 ss, different styles and sizes.  They can feel completely different, even from going up one inch, or sitrrups moved slightly!  I never could get used to my friends that had stirrups more forward; made my knees ache.
