You can also call the 1-800# and get location/co-ordinates... So as long as you have either a phone or access to a computer you can get the location of the watch... which is hopefully still attached to the horse.   If this product was available to me, I think I would 
attempt to take off the watch strap and braid the watch piece into my mares mane.
 

On bug I can think of on this one is that you might have fun getting to a web site from some ridecamps I've seen.
 
 I came across a neat little "watch type" GPS locator that is made for children.  The service is not available in Canada and maybe everyone in the U.S. already knows about it, but I thought it may be worth a mention.
