Re: [RC] [RC] Rascal, the hackamore and 1st.Trailride - A. PerezRegarding your horse fighting you when he decided to go 'hell-bent for leather' home: based on your description, I would not assume he is acting up because the hack is 'too harsh', but because he is frustrated at not being able to get HIS way: ie: a temper tantrum. If this is the case, any effective bit will cause him to act up because he does NOT want to stop, he WANTS to go home. This makes it a training issue instead of a bitting issue. I'd try making him turn and go away from home the minute he starts fighting you, not turning again until he is acting properly: soon he should get the idea that acting up is not an effective way to get home fast. Good luck ________________________________________________ Get your own "800" number Voicemail, fax, email, and a lot more http://www.ureach.com/reg/tag =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
