[RC] [Guest] Using GPS in the woods? - Ridecamp Guest

I tried using a hand held unit, and attatched it to my pommel
with the antenna facing up.  I lost contact with the sattelites
under  tree cover.  If contact cuts in and out your distance and speed
figures will be inaccurate.  I assume the Timex unit is subject to the same
problem?  It was sure fun when it worked.
