[RC] Pedometers.... - KathyZ1

With all this GPS talk, I'd like to hear some info about the lowly pedometer.
I've checked the archives but the discussion took place quite a while ago and I'm interested in current recommendations.
Can someone recommend a pretty reliable type and model and explain why one type is better than another?
