Automobile Club of Southern California and it states quite clearly that their RV membership covers horse trailers).
I have the same membership (Auto Club of So. Calif.) and I have the RV membership. They told me no horse trailers. I was climbing a steep mountain road in Santa Barbara and lost the transmission on my motorhome. AAA sent out a tow truck for my RV, but would not touch my horse trailer. He towed me just far enough up the road to a wide spot where I had to unload my horse and leave my trailer. I watched him leave with the RV as I stood holding my horse on the side of the road. Good samaritans abound and a passing horse trailer stopped and picked us up and took us up to the campground. Then Sylvia Beverly, bless her heart, drove down in a borrowed truck and hauled my trailer up the mountain so I had a place to tie my horse. Long story short... AAA would not help me. They only would tow the RV.
