I checked out the link, especially the Hopkins on Horses link. Boy the real guy
sounds like a real jerk! Sometimes I almost wish people didn't do the research,
it's nicer to believe in the fairytale!
Still, a good horse movie is a good
horse movie and I will most likely go see it. I was wondering if the
scene in Seabiscuit where Tobe Maguire (I forgot how to spell his name) was
telling a tale about how the Sultan had chosen him to ride his stallion, etc
was a bit of a inside joke about the Hopkins movie.
There is an article in the Endurance News about the Validity of the
story. I am sorry but I forgot what month I believe It was in the spring of
2003. I have only been getting it since 2003 so it has to be this year.
I
also saw the preview when I was at the theatre. I don't think
they changed the way they are marketing it. They said over and over
again... Based on the true story!
