Re: [RC] Tracking devices - Sisu West RanchI just checked with gundog supply. Basic system (inotec) is ~$450 and includes 1 transmitter. Additional transmitters ~$140 going down to ~$100 in bulk. This one can track up to 64 different transmitters. Those who worry about lost horses could purchase and use this system. With the 7 mile range one could easily be out of range, or behind a hill etc. In that case an aircraft , walky talkies , and 2 GPS units would allow the person in the aircraft to direct ground searchers to the lost horse. Since the aircraft could be quite high the horse shouldn't spook. Technology marches on!
