[RC] Fwd: Right to Ride bill in U.S. House of Rep. - Maryanne Stroud Gabbani

Considering all of the discussion on line about trail closures and strategy, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this legislation. I've forwarded this with the okay of the Equine-L list guardian, Tara Scholtz.

Subject: Right to Ride bill in U.S. House of Rep.

FYI: There is a bill currently in subcommittee in the U.S. House of
Representatives which has the purpose of trying to protect horseback
riders' access to open land and trails for their recreational uses (along
with the hikers, bicyclists, etc.)

To follow up on information on this bill, you can search it via
http://thomas.loc.gov (I had success finding it via typing "Right to Ride"
or "H. R. 2966".)

Of course, please contact your Representative with your views on bill.

Not all Representatives are a savvy with email (although all will receive
such) so if you can send your letter via the U.S. Post Office, that is
still the preferred medium in D.C. politics.
