Re: [RC] Almaden Triathlon - Karen SullivanAbout the second most fun thing down there was the Quicksilver Ride and Tie, that my daugther and I did several years ago. We took our former bad-actor mare Chancy, who was astounded by the whole thing, but figured it out pretty well. We got to camp at Marybens, and see Leroy the famous mule. The excursion was somewhat marred by my daugther getting a migraine the day before the ride, and me getting one about 2 miles from the finish, but we did finish.. And yes, we did the "short course of 14miles.". Still, it was a great time,and I treasure our director chairs! My daugther and I did one more, at Euer valley. She lost enthusiasm for running after that, but now, several years later is doing cross country in high school. Now "I" am not running! Well, maybe we can get back on the track!
