He told us, he was NOT going to be the one to shoot our horses when we lamed them up beyond repair, The last Pt.Reyes trip we let the girls go out alone, once we knew their route. They are 13, 14, 15, and 16, ane all ridden their whole lives; done some endurance, very knowledgeable and careful about their horses. For any of you that know Greenpicker trail, they walked the horses up Stewarts, and then walked up all of Greenpicker to where it stopped being uphill and leveled out flat. There they started to trot and canter......and were strongly scolded by a lady who accused them of running their horses and said they should never canter on the trail and they would lame their horses. Being polite girls, they didn;'t argue with her, but said, "okay", and then had a huge giggling fit after she was out of sight.
