Well said Maryanne.  I couldn't agree with you more, especially with 
your visual of the hats-blown-off racing experience!  But would you 
agree that we should be looking for submission rather than control?  
This too is a fine line, but you might agree that submission involves 
more partnership than control.

Sorry if I'm being too pedantic, but thought this distinction was worth 
mentioning.

Wishing you many more miles of racing through the desert... :)
