So whats the big deal about LD? Its a great training
episode for young horses and those that can't ride as far as others. To
have this group of riders affiliated with AERC is a good thing, and not just for
the $$ they bring in as members. Sure, some think upon it as the 'end all'
and call themselves Endurance Riders... so what? Is that a threat to
anyone who may go a longer distance? No, i don't think so. I have
some starting horses and LD will be the path for them, tho in other times i went
into mega events and 100's as a start. So, lets just look upon each other
as brothers and not as adversaries, and embrace. Sounds corny but its
