PerezI'm not a vet, nor do I play one on TV, but I'll throw in my 2 cents-worth: 'colic' is a very vague term, basically meaning 'stomache ache', and as in humans, stomache aches can be caused by many things: indigestion, gas, infections, twisted intestine etc, some of which are mild, others of which are not. Like 'fever', 'Colic' is a symptom, not a diagnosis. As far as ruptures goes, these can be caused by worms, enteroliths, as well as obstruction.
