RE: [RC] [AERC-Members] coordinates for "the edge" - Linda CowlesThis may have been suggested already... The internet supports web-casting, technology that allows speakers to address distributed groups simultaneously. It isn't perfect, but it's **very** effective. It's convenient, cheaper than travel and reduces the impact on expert speakers schedules. A connection fee could be used to encourage people to "attend" as groups. I used www.webex.com as a marketing and training tool on a frequent basis when I was a high-tech marketing nerd; several companies offer this type of service. Linda But, there are a plethora of wonderful speakers that can't or won't travel whout at least their expenses being covered. Perhaps we should address a fund being organized (corporate backing, maybe??) to underwrite travel expenses for qualified speakers to get to clinics on the local level. Just a thought.
