What I do, is loop a chain around the base, and
fasten it to the top of the box blade on the tractor. Lift lever, up comes
post. Straight as can be, no sweat on my part. I took down 300 feet
of fencing last Tuesday to move it over 10 feet. Was able to reuse all but
2 of the posts. But I know every one doesn't necessarily have a
tractor...<G>

The posts can be a bit much to take up again, but it is

They are easy to remove using a high load jack and a
piece of chain. After strugging for a long time with a T-post in the
clay soil using a shovel, etc. my neighbor came over and showed me this
trick. You make a loop around the T-post down near the ground level and
then loop the chain around the jack and fasten with a bolt or other fastener.
As you raise the jack, the T-post comes out, no muss, no fuss and most
importantly, no sweating or cursing ! :)
