Just be sure you need it in a vet check.  They're great for keeping the hindqtrs from getting chilled but if it's questionable temp or your horse isn't coming down on P & R's you may need to air/flap it to keep cooling & P & R's coming down.
 
Pulled at 43 miles one time & didn't realize till later it was the rump rug holding to much heat when I probably didn't need it but it was new & I was inexperienced.....

Check out endurance.net's home page for a list of endurance.net sponsors as a number of them sell rump rugs.  I won a rump rug made by Sharaf's Closet, http://www.sharafscloset.com, at the AERC convention raffle a couple of years ago, and it is a durable and practical design.
