Maggie,

I'm glad you and Malik are home safely and that Malik is doing so well.  He
had us really scared at NC.  I was with Chrysann, the treating vet, for
Malik's initial treatment.  On her behalf, I would like to comment that
while she may have seemed to be short with you and not taking a lot of time,
she told me later that she was afraid there wasn't much time--that he needed
to be treated immediately.
