One other aspect of Ld is that there are alot of folk out there that still want to participate in the sport but, physically cannot ride 50 miles...I say if Ld allows them to come on out and ride YEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAA !!! I ride my young horses in competitive riding in the midwest and if I didn't have the choice of competitive trail I'd be starting them Ld....but, I don't think Ld should have any limits as far as moving up to 50...there are many reasons folks choice to ride what on what days.
