[RC] RE:Ariat Terrain - Jonni JewellAlso how do they hold up to wet -- like tromping through a pasture to catch a horse? Run wide? True to size?<< Many of those who ride in them, had mentioned they have a wide foot, and these shoes fit their feet. (they are listed as a B width). I finally found a pair to try on at my local Stateline Tack. While they do seem wider than a B, even going up one full size, and having the laces as open, and lose as possible, they were still to narrow for my D (well, often E) width foot. I CAN fit in the Roper brand "Horseshoes", in men's sizes. (and they fit well, and are about $50 a pair) Not sure any of these lace up sports boots will keep your feet dry. The Roper Horseshoes are a suede material, and the Ariats were a mix I think of leather and sneaker material. But as far as mud and wet on the Horseshoes, I just take a wet brush, and some Woolite when they get real nasty, wet the outside, and scrub them. I don't soak them, just wet and clean the outside, and they look pretty good when done. Jonni (why WIDE feet? Dang it, so many shoes will NEVER fit me!) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
