Angie- I would put the Big Horn 100 on your don't miss list. Beautiful scenery, tough ride, one loop 100 mile event, beautiful campground, very experienced managers, and great volunteers to take you back down the mountain if you do get pulled.
When I pulled in 1988 on Sierra Fadwah, my closest competitor, Pat French got pulled at the next Vet Check. We rode down the mountain together. We gave $10 apiece to the driver and he was stunned. He said in all the years he had been driving pulls down the mountain, we were the very first to even offer to pay him. He did a super job and was gentle with the turns for the horses. I considered it not enough for the kindness we were shown. I want to do this ride and complete it before I die. Karen Nelson
