For directions or an entry form contact Ride manager Raymond Roland at (662) 456-3854 or (662) 456-2538. There will be a free catfish fry on Friday night for all comers. A meal will be provided to riders on Saturday afternoon, others pay $5 for the Saturday meal. A National Park Service sign near the ride site sheds some light on the ride's name: Witch Dance-the very name conjures visions of eerie midnights, swirling black capes, and brooms stacked against a nearby tree! The old folks say that the witches once gathered here to dance and that wherever there feet touched the ground, the grass withered and died, never to grow again. Impossible? - may be so, but look around, look for a hidden spot where no grass grows. 10/10/03 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
