Re: [RC] Pads for Treeless/Torsion question - Lucy TrumbullCarolyn wrote: Toklat will do anything you want. One of their standard pad versions is a velcro opening so that you can put in inserts. Yes, I have one of these - but the ad on the Sportack site specifically says that they don't do inserts for this particular new "high-profile" Toklat pad. The only thing I can figure is that they haven't yet gotten around to making this pad with velco-pockets, or cutting the inserts to fit. I can't see why inserts wouldn't work, so maybe it's just a matter of time? * * * Speaking of Torsion saddles - has anyone done any serious mileage in both a Sportsaddle and a Torsion, and can compare the two (pros and cons of each)? The biggest pro for the Torsion seems to be how short it is front-to-back. Anything else? Is the riding position more "english" than the SS? I'm guessing you have more swing in the stirrups than with a SS? Has anyone had problems with pressure points from where the stirrups are hung on the Torsion? (Not, of course, that I *need* another saddle... but... well...you know... <g>) * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Lucy Chaplin Trumbull elsie AT foothill DOT net Repotted english person in Sierra Foothills, California * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
