Yes, I have 10 years of Mulberry experience! I have about 3 huge trees, the horse LOVE them, the birds leave purple plops on everything including the horses. My guys eat the fruit and love the leaves too. I have never had any issues at all, other then the purple bird droppings. Unless a vet says different, I would let them enjoy those wonderful treats. :-)
