So--do you have a better idea?terre On reflection, that probably sounded "snippy"--and I really didn't mean it to. As I see it, we have a problem--horses being overridden, some to their deaths. We have two options--do something, or do nothing. If we opt to do 'something'--then what? If we can't find a "perfect" answer, that satisfies everybody and causes no work for anybody, should we then do 'nothing'? I'm not 'married' to any of my ideas--if somebody has a better one, let's hear it. There are people--Stagg and Truman in particular at the moment; Jim Holland, Lynne Glazer and others in the past--that are putting themselves out there trying to find solutions.
