[RC] [Guest] Adios - Ridecamp ModeratorLilean Nicolaison Lilean@xxxxxxxxxxxExcuse me ridecamp moderator. At the PAC games, I saw 6 horses (with my own eyes) that were in serious metabolic failure including dehydration, chemical imbalances, severe diarrhea. I saw others that were brought in due to "lameness" that later became metabolics, that were not in the statistics that you counted. And I saw several others that were metabolics that returned to stable within a shorter time. Also, there were other serious incidents and metabolic failures at the Kings vet check. Do you truly believe that my bringing this topic up to ridecamp is "irresponsible"??? Lilean Nicolaison Lilean@xxxxxxxxxxx [Moderator: there seems to be some confusion concerning the expression "Excuse me..." which starts this message?? This post responds to comments not from the moderator, but from another member of the list. There were 17 horses treated at the PanAms for Metabolic issues. There were 50 horses that were neither treated nor considered lame during the competition. There were 2 horses, which I brought home, which both completed soundly and healthily, looked great in the morning and were not compromised by the stress of the competition. 50 riders rode smart (and fast). My congratulations to all the finishers at the 2003 PAC.
