Re: [RC] Tasty Hay or Not, what makes the difference? - Susan BothernDon't know where you are located but in eastern North Carolina I have to be careful not to buy hay that has been fertilized with chicken manure or by hog lagoons (hog waste). The hay doesn't carry any obvious odor to me, looks good, no mold, etc., but most horses won't eat it. Expensive lesson to learn.
