[RC] flatwork during ride season - Michelle FinkHi - I would like some practical advice of how to schedule in flatwork for a horse that is competing (turtling is more likely than competing :-)). I'm planning to do approx. 1 multiday ride per month starting Feb., starting with LD/30's and working toward 50's over summer. Would two flatwork sessions plus one longish ride each week be a reasonable level of activity for my horse between rides? We'd have about 2 weeks to work lightly between rides, providing I give her 2 weeks of turnout after a ride (she lives in a big pasture and self exercises with her buddies). Thx for any suggestions & happy trails - Michelle (Colorado) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
