FWIW,

SERA gives an award - a nice monogrammed horse blanket - to the rider of any horse rider team that completes 3 SERA sanctioned one day 100 mile rides in a season. This year we gave out three.

The AERC doesn't differentiate between rides of 50 miles or over. However, with the bonus points associated with 100 mile rides doing 100's makes a big difference. You get as many points for completing a 100 as you do for winning a 50.

Anybody noticed AERC gives top 10 jackets in every region for 25 milers,
but not 100s?
