Well, for my first 100 I didn't have Marcia, but with Al Bupre (over the age of 75) ahead of me and Cliffy Lewis (age 5) behind me (both finished!) I had great role models all over the place!!

Never know who you might find out there on the trail.

The hardest part of me was the first loop out and then back to base camp was 50 miles (don't panic this loop included VC's)....so it was difficult when back to ridecamp thinking about the 50 miles left go.

However, it does help to think VC to VC. Oh, a clear night and full moon is a great help too!
