Re: [RC] Trivia Question - longevity - Heidi SmithZapped, going every year since 1990, first year with Al Paulo but has been ridden by Karen Bumgarner ever since. Has only two pulls in 102 starts, for 100 completions. Total mileage shown to date: 6480. MC Rams Z, going every year since 1991. Has alternated between Terry Westlake and Darla Westlake. Had his first pull this year (RO-L) but has been out since then to complete more rides. He has 101 completions. This is another one that has most of his miles "up front"--as his 42 BC's will attest to. Total mileage shown to date: 6160. (And it is noteworthy that the Westlakes also rode the late RT Muffin 9155 miles in a career that ran from 1983 to 2000, with rides every year, again at the front, and while his 1983 and 1984 rides only show miles, the remainder of his career had only 2 pulls in 128 starts, and shows a total of 66 BCs. He retired from endurance to become a jumper in Pony Club with one of the Westlake girls.
