[RC] cold weather and horses - Jackie WinklemanALl this talk about cold weather and horses got me thinking... Back when I was in college, I remeber my animal science professor saying that 40 - 50 degrees was ideal weather for a horse - most prefer this temp range... For some reason it stuck with me. Was wondering if anyone knows of any studies done on this - I can't seem to find my notes. I can remember one really bad winter (for FL...) when the top of the ground was frozen, we were on a lake and it was really swampy ground. We left the barn open for the horses to get in and stay warm - but they chose to stay out in the open windy freezing cold weather. They had icycles(sp?) hanging from their noses! __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo!
