Hi Jenna,
I am not near Weaverville but about 4 hours away (5 with horse trailer). But
that's where I grew up. What in the world brings you there? Anyway my mom is
in Lewiston. We swap horses. Right now she has a mare in foal with my dream
horse. ANd a nice gelding who foundered last winter but is doing well, Oh
yea and a 4 month old baby. All Arabs (well the dream foal will be an arab
trak cross as she is bred to Feuertanzer).
Here I have an 9 y/o gelding who did the tevis this year and finished, and
is ready to do more but I haven't been able to b/c of kids and work. He is
also qualified at the training level in dressage for the regionals. I also
have a 4y/o who will do his first 25 miler (he did the horse part of the
biatholon at the the ride and tie championships 3 weeks ago + another fun
ride + lots training for the tevis with my other horse this summer including
part of the trail) on Oct 4th. ANd I also hope to qualify for the regionals
in dressage for 2004 (might be wishful thinking with my limited schedule).
ANyway I would be willing to talk. I could always use help if you are a good
experienced rider who knows how to take care of a horse. Have you done
endurance? I may even be willing to send one of the horses to my moms for
you to ride- she is in Lewiston its less thatn a half hour from Weaverville.
