[RC] More Regional Differences? - rides2far

 Wasn't it the > Spring
Biltmore ride of 2002 when over 20 horses were on fluids? > nobody
wanted to quit with the Rider Option tag tattoo'd across their
forehead.

I quit, and I should have had RO next to my name but never checked,
wasn't the least concerned. The entire squad nominated for the WEC quit
RO also. Just back from Biltmore where it was hot last weekend. Nearly
200 horses, not one on IV. I really very seldom see them. Maybe one or
two at a big flat ride but not at all so common that we're not shocked at
it. The only horse I ever saw die though died because the vets didn't
hang around and administer fluids (not our usual vets at that ride for
sure!) They just hung one bag and left. Horse didn't crash till 12 hours
later, so thank God for vets who are aggressive about giving fluids if
needed.
