Didn't Susan G. oops, DVM say beet pulp is good to help remove sand from gut too? So if you feed beet pulp, you maybe can skip the psyllium?

How much metamucil (Wal-marts Equate) needs to be fed daily to be beneficial,
if psyllium is beneficial, for helping to remove sand? When I used Sand
Clear, it was one measuring scoop (2 ounces?) per day for one week. Is there a
difference as far as the powered people kind as to the amount? I guess I could
multiply it by 5 or 6 times the people dose, assuming the people dose is for 150
to 200 lbs. of people. Thanks, Beccy in Ut.
