This has been discussed before, and it was Susan's opinion that you'd have to feed huge amounts of garlic daily (as in, cups of the stuff) before you'd approach a toxic level. There are many things we feed to our horses that would cause trouble if given in "too large" amounts -- including grain! In my case, feeding powdered garlic has meant that I no longer take 5-8 attached ticks off my gelding each week.
